Situated in close proximity to King’s Cross Station in Camden, this project is nestled in a district undergoing significant transformation. The existing site comprises a block of light-industrial units from the 1980s. Caruso St John spearheaded the design for a mixed-use development spanning 24,000 square meters.

This innovative scheme retains the same footprint for an industrial workspace while introducing a denser integration of offices and housing. Additionally, a small retail area complements the diverse functionality of the development.

The White Collar Factory situated at Old Street Yard represents a courageous and innovative culmination of a comprehensive five-year research initiative by Derwent London. Positioned at the heart of London’s Tech City, this 16-storey tower stands as a focal point.

The architectural design includes a network of fresh alleys and passages that link a newly established public space to the tower, two preserved buildings, and three newly constructed structures, each ranging from four to five storeys. Collectively, these elements provide a blend of residential and incubator workspaces, contributing to the creation of a distinctive urban environment.
