Infrastructure | Swift Brickwork Contractors Limited

Kings Cross Station London

Swift Brickwork Contractors Limited were chosen to carry out an extensive builders work package, internal alterations and the provision of new internal faced brickwork walls in public areas. Amongst these new walls was the "Harry Potter" wall, probably the most photographed brick wall in the UK.

Because the station is Grade 1 listed, all masonry work was carried out in close liaison with English Heritage and Network Rail’s architects.

Imperial Smead Dead stock bricks were used with hydraulic lime mortar, throughout the project.
